Heggerijders Festival is a small festival in the dutch area of Velsen. The festival has its origins in the desire of the organizers to start a camping which is affordable for people that otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford going on vacation. That’s pretty cool, huh? We thought so.
The festival itself is not on the camping but on a different terrain, more suited for this kind of activity. It’s a sunday-during-the-day event, so no worrying about being home late whilst having to work in the morning (and you can bring the kids). It’s promising to be a combination of magical entertainment and festive folk-music, as well as filled with re-enactment, archery, medieval food and a bagpipe player.
The festival will be held on the 14th of may. Check out their website for more details.
